ACCEPTABLE EXPIRATION DATES
DAIRY
Cream ……………………………. 3 days after expiration
Milk ……………………………….. 4 days after expiration
Yogurt ………………………….. 7 to 10 days after expiration
Butter ……………………………. 2 weeks after expiration
Sour Cream ……………………. 2 weeks after expiration
Cheese …………………………… 3 to 4 weeks after expiration
Margarine ………………………. 4 to 6 months after expiration
Eggs ………………………………. 1 month after expiration
MEAT
Lunch Meat ………………………. 3 days after expiration
Ground Beef, Poultry ………… 2 days after expiration
Smoked & Cured Meats ……. 2 weeks after expiration
Whole Hams …………………….. 6 months after date of expiration
FROZEN MEAT
Beef ……………………………….. 4 months after expiration
Lamb and Pork ………………… 5 months after expiration
Poultry ……………………………. 8 months after expiration
GUIDELINES FOR HANDLING MEAT
- Plastic gloves must be worn when meat is being handled.
- Hands must be washed before gloves are put on and after gloves are removed.
- Anytime you handle poultry, gloves must be changed before any other meat is handled.
- Different types of meat may be layered on top of each other. They must be in this order only, with poultry on the bottom: Poultry, Beef, Pork, Lamb.
- Meat must be stored at 40 degrees or colder.

- Hardness/Staleness
PRODUCE IF IT HAS
- Excessive Damage
- Mold/Rot Spots
- Puncture Holes

DAIRY THAT HAS
- Excessive Damage
- Out Of Date Range
MEAT THAT HAS
- Unsecured Packaging
- Discolorness
- Out Of Date Range
DELI FOODS THAT ARE
- More Than 2 Days Old (i.e., 48 Hours from Time of Preparation)
NOTE: Dairy and meat must be stored at 40 degrees or below; if they are not stored in the cooler, Food Movers can not accept them. If in doubt, THROW IT OUT.
